WoodWorking

Woodworking has become a more and more important part of my life... You will find here plans and pictures of projects I realized, links to useful resources, etc..

But lets take the projects in the order I realised them. My fist project was a dining room table and the corresponding benches. Started perhaps 2 months after we arrived in the United States, I had very little tools, and very little practice. This project is therefore full of mistakes, and the only really good part about it, is that I was able to camouflage most of them. (For now, pictures only). (new)

After that, as we were still living in a nearly empty house, I decided to build a kitchen island. The size of the project made it much easier to build than the previous one, and my newly bought 'router attachment' for my dremel rotary tool was my first contact with mechanically made grooves... Of course, not having clamps big enough for the work didn't really help. (For now, pictures only). (new)

For the next one, I decided that 90° was not cool enough. These pyramidal shelves helped me reminisce of geometry, and also helped me find tricks on how not to use it. (For now, pictures only). (new)

After playing with angles, I decided that coming back to simplicity was a good idea. But I was still not convinced about the beauty of symetry, and the result was these asymetricval shelves. (For now, pictures only). (new)

And then, I started to think that I was able to do anything... But to build a pirogue, I realised that buying plans would be a safer idea than thinking that a boat designed by me would float a reasonnable amount of time. (For now, pictures only). (new)

And finally, a little kitchen remodeling... Square, angle, asymetry... Worse... Curves... (For now, pictures only). (new)
